Aralia ‘Sun King’ is a unique tropical looking perennial with large leaves that measure up to 3 feet long. Its bright golden leaves give nice contrast to its reddish stems. If given a few hours of sunlight a day the foliage remains bright yellow all summer long. If grown in a shadier location the foliage will be an intense lime green. In late summer tiny white flowers form with deep purplish black inedible berries. Like most Aralias, the flowers attract many pollinators.

Gardener’s Tip
For best color and performance, this variety should be situated in morning sun or filtered shade. Too much sun can cause sun burn on the leaves.
