Every year the American Hosta Growers Association selects one Hosta variety, that must meet certain requirements then honours it with the title ‘Hosta of the Year’. The 2022 chosen Hosta is ‘Island Breeze’
This hosta has very bold substantial foliage that is sure to brighten up the garden. Its thick rounded leaves emerge bright gold with a medium green margin in Spring. The gold will fade to a soft yellow if planted in the sun. If ‘Island Breeze’ is planted in the shade the yellow will turn to a lime green.
A beautiful hosta to make as a focal point in the garden.
