The 2016 Hosta of The Year is ‘Curly Fries’. It has bright yellow chartreuse foliage, with lavender blue blooms in midsummer.
‘Curly Fries’ has heavily rippled, narrow leaves like no other Hosta variety!
This miniature Hosta only grows 11’’ high and a 20’’ spread, making it the ideal plant for rock gardens or landscape edging/borders. To maintain ‘Curly Fries’ beautiful golden foliage, situate it where it will receive morning sun only, avoid the strong afternoon sun.
Gardener’s Tip
‘Curly Fries’ pairs exceptionally well when planted near blue Hosta. Since it is a mounding variety, allow enough space so it does not get taken over by more vigorous growers.
